This weekend, we decided to stay in our house. We have been back and forth about what we want to do about our house. So today we brought in some boxes and started to unpack. I am excited…tomorrow starts my big adventure…I will turn my closet in my stamp room to a storage area. So, I will get 20% off a stand and then on Saturday, I will go and order my storage from Storables. I am ready to get my craft room ready to do some serious creating.

On Saturday, I went to stamp with Donna! (She is celebrating 500 hits; enter to win some blog candy. Hurry!) We made a couple of cards, she helped me with my blog, and we started a paper bag book. This was so much fun. I love spending time with her. She is a very kind person and an incredible artist. Please take a look at my book.

Monday is one of the best days to shop on-line. Have a great day.

Twas the night...

by ktstamps, 8:02 PM
'Twas the night of Thanksgiving,
But I couldn't sleep.
I tried counting backwards,
I tried counting sheep.
The leftovers beckoned
The dark meat and white,
But I fought the temptation
With all of my might.
Tossing and turning
With anticipation
The thought of a snack
Became infatuation.
So, I raced to the kitchen
Flung open the door
And gazed at the fridge
Full of goodies galore.
I gobbled up turkey
And buttered potatoes,
Pickles and carrots,
Beans and tomatoes.
I felt myself swelling
So plump and so round.
'Til all of a sudden
I rose off the ground.
I crashed through the ceiling
Floating into the sky
With a mouthful of pudding
And a handful of pie.
But, I managed to yell
As I soared past the trees...
Happy eating to all
Pass the cranberries please!
May your stuffing be tasty.
May your turkey be plump.
May your potatoes 'n gravy
Have nary a lump,
May your yams be delicious,
May your pies take the prize.
May your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off your thighs.
May your Thanksgiving be blessed.....: )

Happy Thanks giving to you and your family! Thank you for blessing my blog with all your holiday cheer! kt

The Winner is....

by ktstamps, 9:48 PM
Michele is the winner of my blog candy! Yeah Michele! Please contact me so I can get your address to mail you some good candy! Take time to check out her blog by pressing here. Thank you all for participating.
I made these cards for a technique junkie’s swap. They took me forever to come up with an original idea to make these cards using a new technique. Well, one month later I finally came up with the card. I have grown to like it but it took me a while!

I have so much to be thankful for!

by ktstamps, 5:19 PM
At most Starbuck stores, you see employees were pins on their aprons. These pins are giving by their peers for a job well done. Our store, didn’t wear their pins. So…one day I decided to ask all the employees to wear their pins. OMG! We have employees who have worked for Starbucks for over 7 years! It has been amazing see the pins they have all earned. We have had lots of customers ask about the pins. I feel it has really brightened up our store.
To my amazement, I received a MUG award on Friday. A MUG award is given to a partner for “Moves of Uncommon Greatness” that help them achieve their goals. It’s a way to say thank you for helping out and I couldn’t have done it without you! This is a picture of my FIRST pin on my apron! (Yes, I showed it off to everyone! I was very proud and shocked I received this award.)

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!

We all have many things in our life’s to be thankful for and now it's time you share those with me! You can either do this by writing something, sharing a card, or scrapbook page. I will have MDP pick a number on Saturday at Noon PST! (I haven't decided what I want to give away...but it will be worth your while!) Thank you for all your support, technical help, and love. kt

Random thought about me....

I am 51 years old and I have taught physical education for 29 years. This year I decided to take a year off and work at Starbucks. Starbucks has my synapses firing! This has been a great decision for me. I feel I am getting my MOJO back for teaching and I am doing something I always wanted to do!

Dream Big

by ktstamps, 7:10 PM
On the first Monday of the month I attend a meeting called the Strawberry Stampers. Donna is in charge and we all have a wonderful time getting to know each other, participating in make and takes, swapping, and having a business builder. In September, we had five people attend the meeting. At that time, we decided to do projects for each letter in “DREAM BIG”…getting ready for Regional’s in Portland. October was fast approaching and everyone’s life got busy. A decision was made to post-pone these swaps until November. This is what I did. In the next few days, I will share with you what the other 4 members did! This was really fun and we decided we would like to do something like this again for the new catalog coming out in January. Enjoy my creation!
